Youngistaan (2014) Hindi New Movie

Youngistaan is a love story set in the backdrop of Indian politics. It is the story of Abhimanyu Kaul & the love of his life, Anwita Chauhan. Abhimanyu Kaul, a young boy living an ordinary life in Japan, finds himself in the political spotlight due to the sudden death of his father, the Prime Minister of India. Travel with Abhimanyu, as he struggles to balance his complicated personal relationships with the political resistance against him from within his own party. Being a public figure, by reluctantly accepting to represent the governing party, much against his own wishes and at the cost of his private life, is a double-edged sword that Abhimanyu must walk on.
Thought of as an amateur and incapable of handling the issues at large by one and all, (except the ever faithful Akbar Patel, Secretary to the P.M.), the film closes as a victorious Abhimanyu changes the course of events and turns the tide his way, through his hard work, honestly, and above all, a political legacy – a sharp, leading mind that not everyone inherits.

What are Salt Lamps?

I have several Himalayan Salt Lamps at my house and I've talked before about how I use them to help purify indoor air and for their soothing red glow.

We use these lamps so often that I figured they deserved their own post.

What are Salt Lamps?

Salt lamps are simply large pieces of pure Himalayan Salt with a small bulb inside. They can be solid pieces of salt (like this one) or decorative baskets filled with large crystals of salt (like these).

It is important to make sure that the lamp is from a pure Himalayan Crystal source and not a cheap imitation made from rock salt.

Himalayan salt lamps are made from pure, food grade, himalayan salt crystals and can even be powdered to use as salt in recipes if needed.

The importance of negative ions…

Salt lamps are natural negative ion generators. At any given time, there are both positive and negative ions in the air. As a flashback to freshman science:

“An ion is an atom or molecule in which the total number of electrons is not equal to the total number of protons, giving the atom a net positive or negative electrical charge.”

Negative ions occur more often in nature and they are often created by things like lightening storms, sunlight, waterfalls, and ocean waves. This is one of the reasons people often report feeling renewed or refreshed after a storm or at the beach.

Positive ions are often created by electronic devices like computers, TVs, microwaves, and even vacuum cleaners and can often exacerbate problems like allergies, stress and sleep trouble. Negative ions can neutralize positive ions (they bond together) and help cleanse the air.

The unique combination of salt and a light source in salt lamps are what cause the negative ions. Salt is hygroscopic, meaning that it attracts water to its surface and this water evaporates quickly due to the small amount of heat from the light source (this is also why salt lamps tend to sweat and appear wet in humid climates). The negative ions are generated during the evaporation process.

Since things like airborne mold, bacteria, and allergens often carry a positive charge, they can be neutralized by negative ions.

WebMD explains some of the benefits of negative ions in the air:

Generally speaking, negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain; resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy,” says Pierce J. Howard, PhD, author of The Owners Manual for the Brain: Everyday Applications from Mind Brain Research and director of research at the Center for Applied Cognitive Sciences in Charlotte, N.C.

“They also may protect against germs in the air, resulting in decreased irritation due to inhaling various particles that make you sneeze, cough, or have a throat irritation.”

And for a whopping one in three of us who are sensitive to their effects, negative ions can make us feel like we are walking on air. You are one of them if you feel instantly refreshed the moment you open a window and breathe in fresh, humid air.

Places like waterfalls and beaches where negative ions are naturally produced can have a negative ion concentration of up to 10,000 negative ions per cubic centimeter whereas busy cities can have negative ion levels as low as 100 ions per cubic centimeter.

What we use…

It is possible to buy machines that create negative ions, but I’ve found that salt lamps are a less expensive and very effective alternative.

I use salt lamps often in our home, and especially in winter months when it isn’t possible to have the windows open or to spend as much time outside. We now have a solid salt lamp or a basket lamp in each room of our home and I love them for their ambient glow and their negative ions.

What Are Negative Ions

What Are Negative Ions

Negative Ions are oxygen atoms with an extra electron, and they can help you feel better.
Negative ions can be found in nature, concentrated in air by the billions; on mountain tops after thunder storms, near water falls, forests, and by the sea. Negative Ions give the air its invigorating freshness. "The normal Ion count in fresh country air is 2,000 to 4,000 negative Ions per cubic centimeter (about the size of a sugar cube). At Yosemite Falls, you'll experience over 100,000 negative Ions per cubic centimeter. On the other hand, the level is far below 100 per cubic centimeter on the Los Angeles freeways during rush hour." Today, the health benefits of Negative Ionizers are well recognized all over the world. While most ionizers on the market are man-made machines, the Salt Crystal Lamps are a beautiful, less costly, maintenance free, natural alternative of Mother Nature's to improve air quality. With time, the Salt Crystal Lamps will not reduce in size, color or shape, and will not lose weight, or their ionizing effect.

Sources of Harmful Positive Ions are;

  1. TV Set
  2. Microwave Ovens
  3. High-Voltage Networks
  4. Computer Monitors
  5. Vacuum Cleaners
  6. Heating & Cooling System
  7. Tobacco Smoke

Scientific tests have revealed that the ratio of negative to positive ions should be between 1.02 to 0.98 and the air's composition of negative ions should range between 1000-1500/cm3. Measurements have shown that the number of negative ions decreases to 200/cm3 in a closed room containing several people The impact of negative ions is powerful. Originally, it was found to speed recovery in burn or asthma patients, but was later discovered to affect serotonin levels in the bloodstream, stabilize alpha rhythms and to positively impact our reactions to sensory stimulant. The greater level of alertness can translate into improved learning, improved well being and enhanced human performance on mental tasks. Ionized air also substantially reduces the number of airborne bacteria indoors.

Dr. Albert P. Krueger, a microbiologist and experimental pathologist at the University of California, found that an astonishing small quantity of negative ions could kill bacteria and quickly take them out of the air so they were less likely to infect people.

Scientific Research on Salt Lamps

Scientific Research on Salt Lamps

Researchers from the former Soviet Union have noted that more than 5,000 scientific documents support the concept that high doses of negative ions have positive effects, while the opposite is true with exposure to high doses of positive ions. They were among the first to become convinced of the benefits of negative ion treatment for individuals with various illnesses, especially asthma, bronchitis and upper respiratory problems.

Ion therapy has also been used extensively in the Middle East - especially Israel, Europe and the Orient. In the U.S. holistic health practitioners have used it primarily, although ion therapy did enjoy some popularity in the 1960s for the treatment of burn patients. Its greatest use has been in the treatment of the roughly 25% of the population that is "weather sensitive," who without treatment can be very nearly incapacitated when pollutant, and particularly positive ion, levels rise. The Soviets published numerous reports indicating that even brief periods of negative ion exposure (15 minutes a day for 25 days for example) resulted in improved responses to training in runners, boxers, swimmers and other athletes. These responses included greater rates of gains, in both strength and endurance, as well as in improved psychological characteristics, sleep habits and appetite. The greater the level of physical stress, such as from training overload, the greater the effect the ion treatments seemed to have. This finding agrees with the beliefs of the leading ion researchers worldwide that those who benefit the most include the very young, the old, those most severely stressed and those with compromised immune systems.

"positive ion poisoning"

Along with all the benefits modern technology has provided, unfortunately the 20th century industrial environment has drastically upset ion levels and the "natural" electrical quality of the air. While very few human activities add the beneficial small negative ions to the atmosphere, many practices increase the levels of positive ions. Positive ions are also produced by combustion, by electronic apparatus and by synthetic materials and fabrics - all of which are extensively used in urban societies. And outdoor air quality, while important, is not the major issue. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that average people spend 80-90% of their lives indoors, where the air is usually worse. Most indoor time is typically spent in relatively tightly sealed "energy efficient" buildings, where many pollutants - both gases and particulates - become concentrated and reach their highest levels. It's also indoors - including inside cars, trucks, airplanes, etc. - where, as Albert Krueger, MD (the late UC Berkeley researcher and founder of the Air Ion Research laboratory) argued, most individuals are exposed to either ion depletion or a condition called "positive ion poisoning." The problem is further compounded by central heating and cooling systems and by the effects of people crowded together and breathing in confined spaces.

Health & Performance Effects:

Dr. Albert P. Krueger*, a microbiologist and experimental pathologist at the University of California, found that an astonishingly small quantity of negative ions could kill bacteria and quickly take them out of the air so that they were less likely to infect people. This is particularly useful to patients recovering from burns in particular.

(Krueger, A. P. "The Action of Air Ions on Bacteria." Journal of General Physiology. Berkeley: University of California, 1957.)

Research papers from St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, Australia's National University (A.N.U), the Pavlov Institute in Russia, all showed that improved lung capacity and relief from asthma symptoms are achieved quite rapidly by exposure to small negative air ions.

Affecting serotonin levels- (Serotonin is a brain chemical related to mood and stress. Anti-depressant drugs, e.g. Prozac, alter brain metabolism of serotonin). In 1985 a European research project exposed over 100 out patients at a mental health clinic to negative ionization for just 40 minutes per day. After only a few sessions,50% of depressive patients reported a return to normal; 75% of headache patients had their pain disappear, 80% of insomnia patients returned to normal sleep patterns, and 100% of anxiety sufferers said their symptoms had disappeared.

A study relating to the relativity of increased negative ions and increases in Immunoglobulin A (IgA) from Australia's La Trobe University states. "such a finding is suggestive of an enhancement of the immune response as a result of negative ionization . IgA guards against viral and bacterial attachment and colonization of mucous membrane." In other words it helps stop lung infections.

In an interesting twist, Josh Beckon, a member of the Department of Cardiology, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, writes in an Internet posting that in order to increase left-hemisphere activity (linear, language, logical), one can block the left nostril and engage in "forced unilateral nostril breathing." Likewise, to increase right-hemisphere activity (creative, holistic, emotional), the right nostril should be blocked. This practice increases the supply of negative ions to a specific hemisphere.

Effects of Negative ion Exposure:

Studies have shown that some people become very depressed when negative ion counts are very low, or in the wintertime (seasonal depression).

A high negative ion exposure appeared associated with feeling better about self, less sensitive, and more responsive or innervated (energized). -From August, 1982 issue of Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine.

"Results indicated that subjects had faster reaction times and reported feeling significantly more energetic under negative Air Ion conditions then under normal air conditions." - From Influence of Negative Air Ions on Human performance and Mood. "Fresh country air has negative ions that have been demonstrated to both treat and prevent depression. "From Depression: The Way Out, by Neil Nedley, M.D. REF Even though they are not a "medical device", Salt Crystal Lamps, by emitting negative ions, significantly reduce a myriad of indoor air pollutants. Negative ions have known benefits, and may provide relief from sinus, migraine headaches allergies and hay fever, reduce the severity of asthma attacks, enhance the immune system, increase alertness, increase work productivity and concentration, increase lung capacity and reduce susceptibility to colds and flu.

Non-illuminated crystals (cool Salt Crystal, underground Salt Mines) produce Negative Ionizing effect, however the Salt Crystal Lamps which are illuminated from inside with a lamp (warm Salt Crystal) produces and emits a higher number of Negative Ions and delivers a more efficient Ionizing Effect. Today, the health benefits of Negative Ions are well recognized all over the world. While most ionizers on the market are man-made machines, the Salt Crystal Lamps are a beautiful, less costly, maintenance free, natural alternative of Mother Nature's to improve air quality. With time, the Salt Crystal Lamps will not reduce in size, color or shape, and will not loose weight, or their ionizing effect!

Besides Air Ionization and Negative Ions production, Salt lamps Illuminated by a light bulb, also produce a beautiful, pleasant to the eyes, mind, and soul, natural Glow of different colors and shades from orange to yellow. This Light Color Glow and Ionized, Clean, Fresh Air creates a special atmosphere of calming meditative balance, tranquility, peace and well-being for humans.

In Europe, bioenergotherapists & homoeopathists recommend Salt Crystal Lamps to assist in the treatment of many health conditions. Salt Crystal Lamps are highly suitable for daily use near TV's and PC's, around smokers, in Offices and homes with Air-Conditioning, during Massage Therapy, in Meditation rooms and anywhere else you want to restore or preserve the natural air quality. (Once you experienced these delightful additions to your home or business you will want more than one!!!)

Speleotherapy with Rock Salt

Speleotherapy with Rock Salt

Speleotherapy means to be located in a room or area with a presence of Salt Crystal Rock and to breathe the Ionized air. Speleotherapy is a therapeutic measure in the treatment of chronic obstructive airways diseases and as an alternative treatment for asthma.

It is used extensively in Eastern Europe; including Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Armenia, as well as in Asian countries; specially South Korea as a natural health alternative for respiratory conditions, immune system dysfunction and illnesses. Although rarely practiced in the U.S. and Canada, many therapists, upscale health spas and clinics around the country increasingly recognize the benefits of Speleotherapy.

Speleotherapy, a process that involves using the health enhancing effect of salt mines or caves to ease asthma, is an old and yet popular alternative therapy.

The positive impact of the cave environment in general and salt's particular effect on man's health has been known since ancient times. Early on, people noticed that wounded animals escaped to caves, where they healed their wounds or stings. People investigated this phenomena and a new branch of medicine called Speleotherapy began. ("speleo" is Greek for cave). One study describes a course of therapy that was 4 hours a day for 6-8 weeks; the 100 asthma patients reported improvement, which lasted 6 months to 7 years (Skulimowski, 1965).

During the wars in the 1940's, many villagers hid from their enemies in salt laden caves and mines for weeks. They discovered that coughs, stuffy noses, and other breathing ailments were alleviated.

Salt Crystals for Brine Solution

Salt Crystals for Brine Solution

Today people all across Europe, and now in North America are discovering the unlimited benefits of Himalayan Salt. Brine solution or Salt water (Namkeen Pani) as the populace will say, has been used for centuries.

The Gama International supplies for the body with the natural energy stored in the crystals and the body can hold this for up to 24 hours. It provides the body with essential minerals and replenishes vital electrolytes. The salt can harmonize the alkaline/acidity balance in the body and normalize blood pressure. It can even help with skin diseases such as acne and eczema by cleaning from the inside out.

How to prepare Brine Solution
Put several Himalayan Salt crystals in a glass jar (preferably one that can be closed and opened easily) Fill 3/4 of the jar with distilled or spring water. After several hours you will obtain a brine solution with a salt part of approximately 26%. The salt crystals will stop dissolving further and the concentration will remain the same as long as there are Himalayan Salt crystals in the water. The brine solution can be topped up with water until all crystals have dissolved completely. This brine solution is absolutely sterile and germ-free. It can therefore be stored for years in a closed glass container without changing or decomposing.

For drinking therapy:

Take one teaspoon of Brine solution once a day in the morning (30 minutes before breakfast) in a glass of fresh spring water. During the day drink at least 6-8 glasses of pure spring water.

Why Choose Salt Crystal Lamps?

Millions and millions of years ago, with the formation of the magnificent Himalayan Mountains, came the existence of Himalayan Mineral Salt Crystals. The Himalayas are the world's most tranquil, serene, peaceful and undeveloped region; therefore the salt crystals mined from the foothills of the Himalayas are still pure and untouched by pollution.

Tremendous pressure and heat refines the structure of the salt crystals and make them translucent. In comparison with European salt lamps, which are dull and opaque. When mining the salt at the Himalayas, use of dynamites is strictly prohibited to preserve the structure of the crystals. Mining by hand is a painstaking and expensive process.

Scientific Research

At the beginning of 21st century, we can hardly imagine living without many electric devices, they have made it easier for us to work in the office and at home. However, we do not realize that they are also a source of very harmful positive ions the so called ELECTRIC SMOG.

Electric smog deteriorates the condition of air, which hazardously affects our physical and emotional state.

Sources of harmful positive ions are:

  1. Computer monitors
  2. TV sets
  3. Electric heaters
  4. Dryers
  5. Vacuum cleaners
  6. Microwave ovens
  7. Tobacco smoke

Scientific tests have revealed that the ratio of negative to positive ions should be between 1.02 to 0.98.

In closed rooms where a few people work at the same time the amount of negative ions may fall to as low as 200/cm3 . The positive effect of negative ions can be experienced on a visit to a salt mine, by the sea or walking right after the storm. Now, we know how important it is to make sure that harmful effect of electric smog is reduced to a minimum in the rooms where we work.

The cheapest and simplest method of fighting against electric smog is to air rooms regularly, particularly those where few people stay together and have many electric machines or where cigarettes are smoked. You can also use air ionizers but these are quite expensive and it's not even a natural way to purify the air. So we offer Himalayan salt crystal lamps which are natural air ionizers that effectively boost the number of negative ions in the air. The effect of air ionization by salt originates from physical and chemical properties of salt, discovered many years ago.

In salt lamps the ionization effect is enhanced by heating the Himalayan salt crystals with a bulb installed inside the lamp, As a result the Himalayan salt crystal lamp improves the quality of our environment and thus our well-being. In addition, Himalayan crystal salt help cure many diseases. Bioenergotherapists and homeopaths in Western Europe have recommended Himalayan crystal salt lamps for a long time to support treatment of allergies, diseases of respiratory and blood system and rheumatism.

Because of their color, they are also used in color therapy i.e. chromo-therapy. Their soothing light helps neurotics and people suffering from insomnia. So Himalayan crystal salt lamp is a product worth-having at every home.

Care of Salt Lamps

Care of Salt Lamps
Salt has hygroscopic properties, which means that it draws water from the surrounding atmosphere. Salt Crystal Lamps should therefore never be sprinkled with water, kept in a moist room or be placed outdoors. Sometimes, in particularly moist or humid conditions, the lamp surface may be slightly damp to the touch. Lighting it for a few hours dries it very quickly.
If crystallization occurs, just wiping with a damp cloth will get rid of it. For most everyday situations, this is not a concern. It is recommended that you light your lamp every day for the best air purifying results, and you can leave your lamps on for as long as possible. This will not only maintain a constant negative ionizing process, but also repel excess moisture build up around the lamp.
If you plan not to use the lamp for long periods of time, just put a plastic bag over the lamp to protect it from humidity.
How to clean your salt lamp:
Wipe the lamp with a damp (not soaking wet) towel or sponge in order to remove dust. Once cleaned, dry the lamp with a paper towel or turn on the lamp for a while.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children.
Always unplug the lamp before changing the light bulb to prevent electric shock.
If you choose to place a Salt Crystal Lamp on a wooden surface, please ensure that it has a waterproof base so that you do not damage your furniture.
